Wim Behre: Platendraaier

The Entrance

Record spinner Wim Behre has a passion for vinyl, both vintage and modern. He spins soul, country, funk, rhythm & blues, garage rock, punk, psychedelic, jazz, reggae and rock ’n roll. His stuff is danceable, moving, and ‘you-can’t-be-serious-how-great-this-is’ great. He has been the regular presenter on the Once upon a time in the West festival for many years now, and he puts together the festival’s playlists, as well. His close contacts include all kinds of talented artists, constantly enabling him to be the first to present a new track, and then to seamlessly combine it with pearls from the past. Thanks to his vast musical knowledge, his schedule is chock full of collaborations with various great acts. To name one, he will go on tour with the Southern swagger of Dewolff, this winter.

He will appear at the Crossing Border Festival for the second time. Previously, he introduced his audiences to listening sessions with a mix of delightful music and beautiful anecdotes. This year, he has already spun his vinyl at the Jazz in de gracht festival, as well as at various other spectacular events. His sounds have played by the sea in the summer, and vibed through the beating heart of the big city on their way to this year’s Crossing Border Festival.
