Michael Fehr

Heartbeat Hotel, Theater aan het Spui

Katrina

Michael Fehr (1982) is a firm believer in the power of spoken word, thriving on the connection with his audience and the energy of live performance. A self-styled storyteller, the epithet seems equally fitting where his writing process is concerned, as due to impaired vision, Fehr writes his books by dictation. A native of Switzerland, he has published three novels since 2013, of which Simeliberg was recently translated into Dutch. He also co-founded an organization for the promotion of poetry among young people, sits on the jury of the Treibhaus literary competition, and collaborated with guitarist Manuel Troller to put some of his texts to music.
