DJ Dunny Sjoerd (a.k.a. Sjoerd van Schuylenburch) has cultivated his role of iconic character in The Hague’s nightlife for over 15 years, organising legendary parties and lighting the dance floor on fire time after time. He is particularly well-known among younger clubbers.

As the city’s official night mayor, DJ Sunny Sjoerd promotes the local night economy with summery beats and all kinds of festive initiatives. Evoking a sunny feel is his brand, and they say that when you go to one of his shows, you have ‘tanning in the planning’. He plays sultry records from faraway beaches, using their rhythms to get his ‘sunbathers’ dancing themselves hot.
