Xylouris White represents the collaboration between legendary Greek singer and lute player George Xylouris and Jim White, the Australian drummer known for The Dirty Three. They released three albums together, combining free jazz, rock and traditional Greek influences in their songs. Their latest album Mother was released in January, again produced by Guy Picciotto from Fugazi fame. Xylouris White’s music is best described as a blend of pure energy and adventurous experimentation, combining George’s passionate vocals and Jim’s imaginative play to magical effect.
